My mission is to reach as many midlife moms as possible and let them know that they are not alone. I hear their struggles, I get their challenges, and my understanding plus my coaching experience can help them create and live the fulfilling lives they always imagined.
Before I became a coach I was a successful small business owner, and I've pursued self-awareness and personal growth throughout my life. When I learned about coaching, it seemed like a natural next step to me to pursue training and certification for something I was already good at.
Immediately after I became a life coach at 44 years of age, my beautiful twin boys were born. Between my coaching business and my babies, there was no room for anything else in my life! Once they were out of diapers and I "came up for air," I realized that creating some balance and keeping my life smoothly on track had to be a top priority. I wanted to "walk my talk." But I found myself with all the challenges caring moms face, and all the challenges of midlife!

With persistence and determination, I used my training and experience to create the life I wanted, and it is still a daily challenge to keep it that way. I am a work in progress. I don't have all the answers. What I am here to tell you is that with intention, commitment and an open mind it is possible to have and maintain the life you want, and together we can make that happen for you.
I believe that a sense of humor is essential to a balanced life. It's when we take ourselves too seriously that it becomes almost impossible to pull ourselves out of the muck. Yes, as midlife moms we face challenges,, and it's essential for our mental health and well-being to look on the "lighter side" at times.
Intention, commitment and follow-through are other essential qualities for success. And these are far more important than intelligence, talent, money or opportunity. You can absolutely have the life you want, and you have to be willing to come through for yourself and do what it takes.

It's my observation that the Law of Attraction works. It doesn't really matter how, it just does. I help clients clearly visualize what they want, and then take charge of their own feelings and thoughts. I help them align their feelings and thoughts with their best selves, and when that happens, magic occurs. It doesn't matter if you've been unable to do it in the past. I was in bed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for ten years, and I never gave up looking for answers. Because of my perseverance, I finally got back on my feet at the age of 40. I'm a master at it, and together, we'll make it happen for you, too.
I have a PCC (Professional Certified Coach certification), a credential awarded by the International Coach Federation (ICF) to those who meet their rigorous standards. The ICF sets the standards for excellence in professional coaching worldwide. I also have a CEC (Certified Empowerment Coach) from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching, a school accredited by the ICF. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, and an extensive backround in self-employed small business management.
I love to travel, and I love nature and the outdoors. My favorite memories are of combining both, such as traveling to Kauai, Hawaii and spending three months camping on the beaches and hiking to spectacular waterfalls and secluded jungle paradises.

Me - Kellie deRuyter |
I love animals, and I've always had a special connection with them. Animals who won't allow anyone else near them will come to me. Previously, I created a professional pet sitting business and built it effortlessly to 100 clients and three employees within three years. I was also President of the Pet Care Network of Silicon Valley for three years.
"I started coaching with Kellie because my life was completely overwhelming, no time to breathe, no time to really enjoy life, just busy, busy, go-go-go. I was working toward a Master's degree, teaching, and filling the role of wife and mother.
Now, after just one month, I feel like I'm flying free! It's as though weights have been lifted off my shoulders. I'm not as irritable, and I take the time to think about things instead of making snap decisions that I'll end up regretting later.
Through Kellie's coaching, I saw that I was more worried about other people's feelings and needs than my own. I thought that it was my job to make everybody else happy; especially my husband, my kids, and my parents. I finally realized that for everybody to be happy, including me, my needs had to come first. I had to stop pleasing everybody else at my own expense. And once I said "No" the first time, it got easier and easier each time!
Then I finally did something I had needed to do for a long time, but had been too afraid. I took a leave of absence from my teaching job. It was the best thing I could have done! Now I'm balancing my life, I get to spend more time with my kids, and my family is much happier with the new, relaxed "me."
Kellie was always very positive, and she created a very nurturing, comfortable environment. I never felt like I had to prove anything to her. She was like a person I could meet at a coffee shop and sit and chat with. She made me feel safe enough to take a look at myself and ask myself: why? She asked me questions that really made me think.
I wholeheartedly recommend everybody to her! If you're considering coaching, I think you owe it to yourself to read her website and at least talk to her once or twice before saying no, or giving up on what you want.
It's my experience that Kellie understands two very important things: what it's like to be a mom, and how to live your life according to what really matters . . . to you."
